About the Journal

Rev Urug Cardiol was first published in 1986 and since then it has been published continuously up to the present day. It has the following editorial characteristics:

 


1) Continuous open access publication, with deliveries of five or more articles per issue, maintaining an annual volume consisting of three issues. Each issue will start on the 15th of March, July and November respectively. The deadline for receipt of articles (closing date) is eliminated.

2) It is peer-reviewed in double-blind form.

3) It includes a mandatory declaration of conflicts of interest of the authors and sources of funding.

4) It includes a mandatory declaration of authors' contribution in research articles, adhering to the author concept requirements established in the ICMJE http://www.icmje.org/recommendations/browse/roles-and-responsibilities/defining-the-role-of-authors-and-contributors.html.

5) Establishes DOI identification for all articles.

6) Establishes mandatory ORCID identification for all authors.

7) For bibliographic citations, it adheres to the Index Medicus standards, also known as Vancouver Standards https://referenciasbibliograficas.com/vancouver/

8) It applies an anti-plagiarism policy through AURA - iThenticate http://www.ithenticate.com/ and in the event of suspected or confirmed plagiarism, it applies the COPE recommendations https://publicationethics.org/resources/flowcharts-new/what-do-if-you-suspect-plagiarism.
